Maximum Throughput for a Cognitive Radio Multi-Antenna User with Multiple Primary Users
نویسندگان
چکیده
We investigate a cognitive radio scenario involving a single cognitive transmitter equipped with K antennas sharing the spectrum with M primary users (PUs) communicating with their respective receivers. Each terminal has a queue to store its incoming traffic. We propose a novel protocol where the cognitive user transmits its packet over a channel formed by the aggregate of the inactive (empty) primary bands. We study the impact of the number of the PUs, the sensing errors, and the number of antennas on the maximum secondary stable throughput.

Secure Collaborative Spectrum Sensing in the Presence of Primary User Emulation Attack in Cognitive Radio Networks
Collaborative Spectrum Sensing (CSS) is an effective approach to improve the detection performance in Cognitive Radio (CR) networks. Inherent characteristics of the CR have imposed some additional security threats to the networks. One of the common threats is Primary User Emulation Attack (PUEA). In PUEA, some malicious users try to imitate primary signal characteristics and defraud the CR user...
متن کاملCognitive MIMO Radio: Performance Analysis and Precoding Strategy
The authors consider a cognitive radio network in which a set of cognitive users make opportunistic spectrum access to one primary channel by time-division multiplexing technologies. Multiple Input Multiple Output techniques (MIMO) are similarly considered to enhance the stable throughput for cognitive links while they should guarantee co-channel interference constraints to the primary link. He...
متن کاملPrimary User Signal Detection Based on Virtual Multiple Antennas for Cognitive Radio Networks
Primary User (PU) signal detection is critical for cognitive radio networks as it allows a secondary user to find spectrum holes for opportunistic reuse. Eigenvalue based detection has many advantages, such as it does not require knowledge on primary user signal or noise power level. However, most of the work on eigenvalue based detection methods presented in the literature require multiple sen...

متن کاملCognitive Radio Relay Network Performance Analysis by using Game Theory
Cognitive radio plays a vital role in wireless communication. The cognitive radio composed of a transceiver which is used to check the channel vacancy for communication and avoids busy channels by shifting into unused channel. The scope for spectrum vacancy and area of coverage is increased by using cognitive radio. In cooperative relay network to transmit the primary traffic the primary users ...
